Teen Summer Code Club


Come join us to learn programming  and Computer Science in this exciting new weekly STEM program youth in grades 6th - 12th.

No prior programming experience needed.  New students welcome any time. This is a special summer coding meeting that introduces young adults to computer coding in various languages.  Learn python, java, and other languages.  This class is led by a local computer science graduate Miss Heather.

Registration is recommended but Drop ins are always welcome.

Requirements:
  • Willingness to explore computer science and problem solving
  • Grades 6th through 12th (exceptions allowed depending on computer experience)
  • Comfortable with computers and keyboarding (ability to type)
  • Basic math skills ( + - * / )

Bring your own laptops if you have them, workstations and library laptops will be available.  Space limited to 15 participants.

Group Meets 3:30pm to 5:00pm in the Technology Lab.

Previous classes covered Java Basics, Variables, and Boolean Operators.  Class outline, presentation, and sample code are available online.  A link will be sent to you once you register for the class.  Returning students will continue with new material & personal projects, new students will work through the previous material with the help of Miss Heather and returning students.
