Yang Huang, author
of Nautilus Book Award winning Living
Treasures, comes to El Cerrito Library to discuss her most recent book, My Old Faithful, winner of the Juniper
Prize for Fiction.
Born in China, Huang came to the U.S. as an engineering student and now lives in Berkeley/Albany with her own family. The ten family stories in My Old Faithful span over three decades, from 1960 to 1990, and are set in China and the U.S. - before the internet, before cell phones, before social media. These highly relatable tales are about sexual awakening, sibling rivalry, the pain and joy of raising children, and aging.
Join us for an engrossing talk about My Old Faithful, a question/answer session, and the chance to get your own copy of the books signed by Huang! We will also have library copies available for you to check out.
